Standard V: Managerial Leadership
A. School Resources and Budget: The school executive establishes budget processes and systems which are focused on, and result, in improved student achievement.
The below artifacts exhibit my awareness and knowledge of budgeting processes and procedures.After reviewing the budget, I made recommendations on how to allocate funds for continuous improvement. As a result, I will be able to review (and balance) the budget, budget processes and procedures, to make strategic decisions.
I will also be able to write grants that includes budgeting allocations and allotments (salary, benefits, time sheets).

A book keeper is an integral asset in regards to balancing an operational budget among other key components. In this activity I learned about the roles and responsibilities of a book keeper, researched and provided a summary of the Leandro Case. As a result, I will be able to effectively utilize my book keeper based on roles and responsibilities, make informed and aligned purchasing decisions.
B. Conflict management and Resolution: The school executive effectively and efficiently manages the complexity of human interaction so that the focus of the school can be on improved student achievement.
As an instructional leader I will be able to delegate tasks to resolve scheduling conflicts.
C.Systematic Communication: The school executive designs and utilizes various forms of formal and informal communication so that the focus of the school can be on improved student achievement.
Communication is Key...
I will be able to communicate to my staff formally and informally in various ways to focus on student achievement.
To ensure and protect instructional time on early release, a survey was created for staff to share individual thoughts. The data from the survey was shared with the staff a consensus was agreed upon.

A page was created for staff to post questions and/ or discuss the possibility of implementing a restart schedule.

As a way to be more personal, an invitation was created to invite staff to PLCs.

D.School Expectation for Student and Staff: The school executive develops and enforces expectations, structures, rules and procedures for students and staff.
This is an example of how I enforced expectations of teachers when parent conferences are scheduled. In the future, I will be able to develop and enforce expectations, structures, rules, and procedures for staff.
"Business as usual". While the Principal and Assistant Principal were out of the building for a workshop and a job fair, I was able to enforce school rules and expectations. I was very visible in classrooms and hallways which resulted in minimizing office referrals and suspensions. The suspensions I issued where due to disrespect/insubordination to staff, fighting, the use of profanity In addition to a phone conference with the principal, her desk was left organized for the start of the next day. This example shows that I will be able to maintain a safe and orderly environment by enforcing school rules and expectations in a fair, consistent manner.
I will be able to ensure consistency and fidelity of discipline measures in regards to our dress code policy. After collaborating with Administrative Team about how we could be consistent in addressing our dress code policy, I created the following:
